BIRKAT KOHANIM IN ISRAEL
In Israel, the following is said by the Leader during the Repetition of the Amida when Kohanim bless the congregation. If there is more than one Kohen, a member of the congregation calls: (See laws 371-378.)
Kohanim!
The Kohanim respond: Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has made us holy with the holiness of Aaron, and has commanded us to bless His people Israel with love.
The Leader calls word by word, followed by the Kohanim: 272 May the LORD bless you and protect you. (Cong: Amen.) Num. 6 May the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you. (Cong: Amen.) May the LORD turn His face toward you, and grant you peace. (Cong: Amen.)
The Leader continues with “Grant peace” below.
