Shaharit, Minha & Maariv

Service for Festivals On Erev Yom Tov, Minha begins on page 222. On Shabbat Hol HaMo’ed, or when Yom Tov falls on Shabbat, Maariv begins with Psalm 29 on page 376. When Yom Tov falls on a weekday, Maariv begins with Barekhu on page 396; when Hol HaMo'ed falls on a weekday, Maariv begins with “He is compassionate” on page 266. The following Amida is said in Shaharit, Minha and Ma<ariv on Yom Tov Pesah, Shavuot, Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret and Simhat Torah, but not on Hol HaMo’ed. AMIDA FOR SHAHARIT, MINHA AND MAARIV The following prayer, until “in former years” on page 832, is said silently, standing with feet together. If there is a minyan, the Amida is repeated aloud by the Leader, except during Maariv. Take three steps forward and at the points indicated by *, bend the knees at the first word, bow at the second, and stand straight before saying God's name.
