בּמִימַתְהוב יחנ כהן גדל חשמונאי ב כָשעְָדהמלְכות יע
הְָשְָָה על עַמּך ישְרְאֶ לְהַשָכִיחֶ ורְתַרְּלְהַעבִירֶ מִסְקירצונך

לבו ְַתה ְּרַמירָהָבִּיס הת אֶעַצְתוְקְלְקלְתָ את מִחָשָבְת
וְהַשָבות לו גמוּלו בּראשו, וְתָלוּ אתו וְשֶת בָּנָו על הָעֶץ.

On Hanukka: DD oy) [We thank You also] for the miracles, the redemption, the mighty deeds, the salvations, the wonders, the consolations and the victories in battle which You performed for our ancestors in those days, at this time. ania 79° In the days of Mattityahu, son of Yohanan, the High Priest, the Hasmonean, and his sons, the wicked Greek kingdom rose up against Your people Israel to make them forget Your Torah and to force them to transgress the statutes of Your will.
