לְדָוִד בְּשַׁנּוֹתוֹ אֶת-טַעְמוֹ לִפְנֵי אֲבִימֶלֶךְ וַיְגָרְשֵׁהוּ וַיֵּלַֽךְ: אֲבָרְכָה אֶת-יְהֹוָה בְּכׇל-עֵת תָּמִיד תְּֽהִלָּתוֹ בְּפִֽי: בַּיהֹוָה תִּתְהַלֵּל נַפְשִׁי יִשְׁמְעוּ עֲנָוִים וְיִשְׂמָֽחוּ: גַּדְּלוּ לַיהֹוָה אִתִּי וּנְרוֹמְמָה שְׁמוֹ יַחְדָּֽו: דָּרַשְׁתִּי אֶת-יְהֹוָה וְעָנָנִי וּמִכׇּל-מְגוּרוֹתַי הִצִּילָֽנִי: הִבִּיטוּ אֵלָיו וְנָהָרוּ וּפְנֵיהֶם אַל-יֶחְפָּֽרוּ: זֶה עָנִי קָרָא וַיהֹוָה שָׁמֵעַ וּמִכׇּל-צָרוֹתָיו הוֹשִׁיעֽוֹ: חֹנֶה מַלְאַךְ-יְהֹוָה סָבִיב לִירֵאָיו וַֽיְחַלְּצֵֽם: טַעֲמוּ וּרְאוּ כִּֽי-טוֹב יְהֹוָה אַֽשְׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר יֶחֱסֶה-בּֽוֹ: יְראוּ אֶת-יְהֹוָה קְדֹשָׁיו כִּי-אֵין מַחְסוֹר לִירֵאָֽיו: כְּפִירִים רָשׁוּ וְרָעֵבוּ וְדֹרְשֵׁי יְהֹוָה לֹא-יַחְסְרוּ כׇל-טֽוֹב: לְֽכוּ-בָנִים שִׁמְעוּ-לִי יִֽרְאַת יְהֹוָה אֲלַמֶּדְכֶֽם: מִֽי-הָאִישׁ הֶחָפֵץ חַיִּים אֹהֵב יָמִים לִרְאוֹת טֽוֹב: נְצֹר לְשׁוֹנְךָ מֵרָע וּשְׂפָתֶיךָ מִדַּבֵּר מִרְמָֽה: סוּר מֵרָע וַעֲשֵׂה-טוֹב בַּקֵּשׁ שָׁלוֹם וְרׇדְפֵֽהוּ: עֵינֵי יְהֹוָה אֶל-צַדִּיקִים וְאׇזְנָיו אֶל-שַׁוְעָתָֽם: פְּנֵי יְהֹוָה בְּעֹשֵׂי רָע לְהַכְרִית מֵאֶרֶץ זִכְרָֽם:
English
Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will be always on my lips. My soul will glory in the LORD; let the lowly hear this and rejoice. Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He saved me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never downcast. This poor man called, and the LORD heard; He saved him from all his troubles. The LORD’s angel encamps around those who fear Him, and He rescues them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; happy is the man who takes refuge in Him. Fear the LORD, you His holy ones, for those who fear Him lack nothing. Young lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Who desires life, loving each day to see good? Then guard your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and His ears attentive to their cry; The LORD’s face is set against those who do evil, to erase their memory from the earth.
