GEULA FOR THE SECOND DAY OF PESAH Hasten, my Beloved, to the place You made for Your dwelling, and though we have violated Your covenant, please recall Your betrothal love for us. Affirm the truth of Your word; rebuild the city of Your joy, and set her above Your highest joy! Hasten, my Beloved, to Your tabernacle in Shalem [ Jerusalem], and though we have strayed from Your path, please gaze out from Your gap, and save a destitute, oppressed nation; calm Your wrath against them, and let them find everlasting shelter under Your wing. Hasten, my Beloved, to the place Your eyes and heart are set upon, and though we have neglected Your goodly Law, please listen to the roar of Your enemies and their tumult. Let their blood soak the earth; may the dust be saturated by their fats, and may the stench of their corpses rise. Hasten, my Beloved, to Your lofty Home of old, and though we have betrayed by denying Your word, please, listen to the outpouring of our whispered prayers. Draw me out of the sinking mire; save those You hold close as the reflection in Your eye, as You once did [in Egypt], in [Nisan, ] the first month.
