Shaharit for Yom HaAtzma'ut In Israel and many congregations outside Israel, Pesukei DeZimra of Yom Tov on page 458 are said. Shirat HaYam (page 84) is said verse by verse. After the Leader's Repetition, Full Hallel (page 776) is said followed by Half Kaddish (page 164). On Thursdays the Torah is read (page 166). On all days, the following Haftara is read. See law 262. Din tip This day he will halt at Nob; he will wave his hand, mountain al of the daughter of Zion, hill of Jerusalem. See, the sovereign LORD of ~ hosts will lop off the boughs with an axe. The tall trees will be felled, the lofty ones laid low. He will cut down the forest thickets with an axe. Lebanon will fall before the Mighty One. A shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a branch will bear fruit. The spirit of the Lorp will rest on him — a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and power, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lorp, and he will delight in the fear of the Lorn. He will not judge by what his eyes see, or decide by what his ears hear; with justice he will judge the poor, and with equity defend the humble in the land. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Justice will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist. The wolf will live with the lamb, the leop- ard will lie down with the kid, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will graze with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. An infant will play near the cobra’s hole, and a young child put his hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lorn as the waters cover the sea. On that day the stock of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious. On that day the Lorn will reach out His hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of His people from Assyria, Lower Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth. Ephraim’s jealousy will vanish, and Judah's harassment will end. Ephraim will not be jealous
