Leader then congregation: Have compassion, please, for the community of the people of Yeshurun; forgive and pardon their iniquity, and save us, God of our salvation. ik As the eyes of slaves are raised / to their masters’ hands we come before You, judged save us, God of our salvation. Proud LORD of lords, / they have brought us to conflict; they have trampled us; other lords have mastered us so save us, God of our salvation. We have come today, pleading — / before You, Compassionate and Gracious One, telling and repeating Your wondrous acts —_ now save us, God of our salvation. Please do not dry up / what flowed with milk and honey; heal the land’s pain with clouds full of water _ and save us, God of our salvation. Plant us in luscious land, / at the hand of the seven shepherds, the eight princes, righteous, upright God of faithfulness yes, save us, God of our salvation. You forged a covenant with the land / for as long as the earth will be, never to break it apart again so save us, God of our salvation. Those who plead with You for water / as willows thirst over streams of water — remember for them the libation of water and save us, God of our salvation. As they plead they carry with them / plants, held straight as they grow; answer their prayer, their voice and save us, God of our salvation. You who work salvations, / turn to hear their prayers, and vindicate them, God of salvation to save us, God of our salvation. Listen to the voice of their crowds who come, / and open the earth, to bear fruit of salvation, You who are great in saving, who desire no evil save us, God of our salvation. Open the gates of heaven, / and throw open Your treasury of good. Save us, and do not press Your claims against us but save us, God of our salvation. Leader then congregation: Open the gates of heaven, and Your treasure-house of goodness — open for us. Save us and do not extend judgment against us — and save us, God of our salvation.
