English
For the sake of the servant who never left the Tent, over whom the holy spirit rested, for whose sake the Jordan parted its water — the people beautiful and shining save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of the one taught to read a sign of good things, who cried out, “Where are the wonders now?” But later wrung rain from the wool - a whole bow! full of water — the bride of Lebanon — save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of one who ground his enemies alone, dedicated from the womb a Nazirite, from the hollow of a jawbone You brought him forth water for Your holy name’s sake save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of those included in the army of Your war, at whose hands You gave Your salvation, marked out from the people as from their hands they lapped up water those who never betrayed — save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of the good child growing more and more, who never allowed himself to take from the people; when the people repented he said, “Draw forth water!” — the people, lovely as Jerusalem save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of one who laughed and danced in song, who taught the Torah through any instrument of music, who libated before You, though he longed to drink water — those who placed their hope in You save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of the pure one who went up in a storm cloud, who was jealous for You and who turned back Your rage, at whose word down came fire to lick the dust and water — the people whose eyes are like pools — save, please: save us, please: You are our Father. For the sake of one who served his teacher truly, and was assigned a double measure of his spirit. When he called the musician to play, the pools were filled with water those who said “Who is like You?” save, please: save us, please: You are our Father.
