Only be careful and watch yourself very closely lest you forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart all the days of your life. You shall make them known to your children and your children’s children – the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb when the LORD said to me, “Assemble the people before Me and I will let them hear My words, so that they may learn to be in awe of Me as long as they live on earth, and they will teach them to their children.”

Remember what Amalek did to you on your way out of Egypt, how he met you on the way, cutting off those who were lagging behind, when you were tired and exhausted, and he did not fear God.
