On the third new moon after the people of Israel had left the land of £«. Egypt, on that first day, they arrived at the wilderness of Sinai. They had traveled from Refidim and they arrived in the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped there in the desert; there, in view of the mountain, Israel laid out its camp.
