The Seventeenth of Tammuz

All say aloud: m7 The Lorn, the Lorp, compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in loving-kindness and truth, extending loving- kindness to a thousand generations, forgiving iniquity, rebellion and sin, and absolving [the guilty who repent]. Forgive us our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance. Continue: wb nbp Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned. Pardon us, our King, for we have transgressed. For You, Lorp, are good and forgiving, abounding in loving- Ps. 86 kindness to all who call on You. The glory of my heart, my Stronghold, will Your rage fume forever? Will You not see this weary nation, blackened as if by the furnace? Close, with the descendant of Peretz, the breach in my fence, and, from among the thorns, pick out the lily. Build the Temple, and return the borders of the Carmel and of Bashan. And open Your eyes, exact vengeance from Etzer and Dishan. Judge a people struck dumb, so that the damages be paid, by the one who destroys, the one who burns - on the day the enemy prevailed and the city was broken through.
