אַהֲבַת עוֹלָם אֲהַבְתָּנוּ יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, חֶמְלָה גְּדוֹלָה וִיתֵרָה חָמַלְתָּ עָלֵינוּ. אָבִינוּ מַלְכֵּנוּ, בַּעֲבוּר שִׁמְךָ הַגָּדוֹל וּבַעֲבוּר אֲבוֹתֵינוּ שֶׁבָּטְחוּ בָּךְ וַתְּלַמְּדֵמוֹ חֻקֵּי חַיִּים לַעֲשׂוֹת רְצוֹנְךָ בְּלֵבָב שָׁלֵם, כֵּן תְּחָנֵּנוּ אָבִינוּ, אָב הָרַחֲמָן הַמְרַחֵם, רַחֵם נָא עָלֵינוּ, וְתֵן בְּלִבֵּנוּ בִינָה לְהָבִין, לְהַשְׂכִּיל, לִשְׁמֹעַ, לִלְמֹד וּלְלַמֵּד, לִשְׁמֹר וְלַעֲשׂוֹת וּלְקַיֵּם אֶת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵי תַּלְמוּד תוֹרָתְךָ בְּאַהֲבָה: וְהָאֵר עֵינֵינוּ בְּתוֹרָתֶךָ וְדַבֵּק לִבֵּנוּ בְמִצְוֹתֶיךָ, וְיַחֵד לְבָבֵנוּ לְאַהֲבָה וּלְיִרְאָה אֶת־שְׁמֶךָ. לֹא נֵבוֹשׁ וְלֹא נִכָּלֵם וְלֹא נִכָּשֵׁל לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד. כִּי בְשֵׁם קָדְשְׁךָ הַגָּדוֹל הַגִּבּוֹר וְהַנּוֹרָא בָּטָחְנוּ, נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ,
English
With everlasting love have You loved us, LORD our God, and with surpassing compassion have You had compassion on us. Our Father, our King, for the sake of Your great name, and for the sake of our ancestors who trusted in You, and to whom You taught the laws of life, to perform Your will wholeheartedly, be gracious also to us and teach us. Our Father, compassionate Father, ever compassionate, please, have compassion on us. Instill in our hearts the wisdom to understand and discern, to listen, learn and teach, to observe, perform and fulfill all the teachings of Your Torah in love. Enlighten our eyes in Your Torah and let our hearts cling to Your commandments. Unite our hearts to love and revere Your name, so that we may never be ashamed or humiliated or fall. And because we have trusted in Your holy, great, mighty and revered name, may we be glad and rejoice in Your salvation.
